Chris Barnes has built a home like his mother for the animals he finds and feeds. He was nicknamed Kangaroo Dundee, after the popular movie character Crocodile Dundee, because he was an outcast who defended kangaroos.
For two years, he worked seven days a week in a 45 degree heat wave to create his small nature reserve. The most important thing for him is that his animals have a good time.
For him, it is important to be part of the nature that surrounds him. The kangaroos call him «dad» just because he’s a man. But that’s not quite true, she’s a real mother to them.
Recently, three more cubs joined this unusual family. Chris feeds them with a bottle every four hours and lets them sleep in his bed.
He earns his living by providing services to pets, such as crafts and cleaning. Chris Barnes constantly cites Dan’s motivation as his biggest problem, which just might be the work of his hands and his adorable kangaroos.
