Man survives bear attack in Alaska by deploying his bear spray

Adam Blomfield, an Alaskan angler, was recently filmed fishing on the bank of a secluded river when a brown bear approached and snatched a salmon from his line.

The bear knocked the man down and left him with puncture wounds to his calf, ribs and shoulder, but he was able to deploy the bear spray to scare the animal away.

The fisherman was able to repel the animal with bear spray and travel 3 km to find help.

He ran 3km to a reception center where medical staff vacationing in the park provided him with first aid and called an ambulance. He was then transported to a local hospital.

A Denali National Park spokesperson said it was the first bear attack since 2016…
