A busy mother found herself in hot water while cleaning her bathroom and stumbling across something that had found its way inside her home. 
She moved the bath mat that was on the floor in front of her shower and discovered a „nightmarish“ sight. Karyina, a mother from Queensland, Australia, was horrified to discover long, stringy white figures hidden under the bath mat in her bathroom. So she took a photo of the bizarre growths and uploaded it to the Internet to see if anyone knew what they were.
At first, Karyina thought the long stringy things were worms hiding under the bath mat. Fortunately, they didn’t all start moving at once, which would probably have given the young mother a heart attack.
So what happened in this Queensland bathroom? Did a fungus grow under the bath mat? Was it a plant that slipped under the mat and started to grow despite being deprived of a light source?
