Everyone knows that cats are afraid of water and avoid it in every possible way. This truth is well known to the Dutch, who, noticing a cat swimming in a canal, rush into the water to help the animal. Then compassionate passers-by call the animal rescue service and ask to send a veterinarian to help the cat, but they are most often refused in response:
We will not pick up the cat and take it to the vet. It wasn’t worth saving him. The cat’s name is Keys, he loves water and just swam in the canal, — the operators already accustomed to such calls answer.
Kiss is a large cat weighing 7 kg. The cat loves to swim in the canals and then wallow in the mud. Since the cat has long hair, you can only imagine how he looks after his unusual «procedures».
Most often, after noticing a cat in the water or on the street, when he comes home covered in mud, passers-by decide that he needs help. People catch Kis, and then they call the animal rescuers and ask for help. To the surprise of kind passers-by who decide to help the cat, special services refuse to come and pick it up.
After the animal rights activists started getting calls to rescue Kees on a daily basis, they placed ads in the local press: “We ask you not to rescue this cat!! He is doing well, he loves both water and mud. It is also not necessary to feed the Kitty. The cat has an owner who monitors his proper and balanced diet. By feeding him on the street, you only provoke his health problems.
