Woman Completes Marathon Carrying Stray Puppy She Rescued

As the popular wisdom says: do good and throw it away. After all, good deeds should be selfless, spontaneous, and certainly blameless for difficulties.

Hemjira was running a marathon when he found a puppy. She knew saving him was more important than breaking a record time.

Hemjira Klongsanun from Bangkok, Thailand loves running marathons, but she also knows that some things are more important than setting a record time.

Today we want to introduce you to a Thai amateur athlete who has recently become an example for the whole world.

After all, she overcame the marathon route with a little puppy in her arms, which she picked up from the side of the road.

Hemjira Klongsanoon is 43 years old and is from Bangkok. She has two dogs at home and she knows the particularities of raising and caring for these animals. During the marathon, a woman noticed a small puppy on the side of the track, there were no houses or people nearby. The athlete took the baby with her, but did not leave the race and continued the competition.

She also took him to the vet for a checkup, he was so infested with fleas and ticks that they had to remove a lot of his fur.

Hemjira says: “It seemed to me that this little guy was going to die. There were no houses, no other dogs, no people around. So, I picked up a puppy, if only to get him out of a dangerous situation.

Nobody intervened in this situation, because it is not described in the regulations of the marathon. But other participants also showed great interest in the little traveler. Hemjira didn’t finish the marathon with the best result, but that’s not the most important thing.

She then took the puppy to the vet. After the necessary examinations and vaccinations, the baby went to his new home. It turned out that he was not even a dog, but a thoroughbred dog and belongs to the Thai bangkwa or bangkeu.

The woman named the baby Chombur Yeng – in honor of where the marathon took place.

Just in case Nong Chom’s brothers and mother were present and needed help, Khemjira and Nong Chom returned to where they found him to search for them. But, apparently, Nong Chom had really been there alone.

While it’s unclear how much time Khemjira lost in the race that day, those details matter little to him compared to the love-filled life that is yet to come.
